"Guess I have to learn to live my life one day at a time. Oh yeah, one day at a time."
When I first heard Joe Walsh of the Eagles sing the above lines in the song, "One Day At A Time" (
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xh9Z4topNx0) during their Farewell 1 Tour concert dvd in Melbourne, Australia, the lyrics struck my heart as if I was hit by a rock. Why? Well, I purchased the dvd set shortly after my dog of almost 15 years passed away from a sudden heart condition that was not detected during his last check up. Needless to say my heart was still hurting from losing and missing my friend who was truly "man's best friend". This song taught me a lot about seizing the opportunity of taking advantage of the time we have on this earth to the fullest and not to waste it. Life is short and fragile, therefore, we have to learn to live our lives one day at a time.
I dedicate this post to a good friend of mine whom I have met around 2007 who is going through a situation which I will not elaborate further for privacy sake. My prayers and good thoughts go out to you during this time. Take care and I am here for you.
